General Supplies

  • Canvas fabric
  • Fiberfill stuffing
  • Sewing machine
  • Painter’s tape
  • Newspaper
  • Stencil film or vinyl
  • Straight pins
  1. Cut two pieces of canvas 18” x 22”.
  2. Cut oak leaves and acorns from stencil film or vinyl. Firmly adhere in corners of fabric rectangles.
  3. Mask off all areas you do not want painted with tape and newspaper.
  4. Spray the oak leaves with Krylon® ColorMaster™ in Coral Isle.
  5. Allow to dry and then add more coats as necessary.
  6. Let dry.
  7. Mask off the leaves and reveal the acorn tops. Paint with Krylon® ColorMaster™ in Hunter Green. Reapply as needed. Let dry.
  8. Mask off the acorn tops and reveal the acorn bottoms.
  9. Paint with Krylon® ColorMaster™ in Boots Brown. Reapply as needed. Let dry.
  10. Remove masking.
  11. Stitch the canvas rectangles, right sides together, leaving an opening in the center bottom for filler.
  12. Turn right side out.
  13. Stuff with fiberfill.
  14. Whip stitch the bottom closed.

Designer’s Tip:

For clear, crisp images, be sure masking is firmly adhered — especially along the edges.
